Rose Thompson McDaniel

Rose Thompson McDaniel, 92, of Louisville passed away on January 19, 2023. She was born in Lewisport, KY on January 6, 1931 to the late Peyton and Katie Thompson. Also preceding her in death are her siblings; Eloise Harley, James Thompson, Virginia Sharp, Violet Loyd, Bertha Meyers, Vivian Floyd, and Donald Thompson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Charlotte Edwards (Greg), Georgia McDaniel, Kathy Bingham (Cris), and George Edward “Eddie” McDaniel II (Belinda), grandchildren; Nicole Hutchison (Kevin), Brian McDaniel (Maddie), Noah McDaniel (Kylie), and great-grandson Kamden Hutchison. She also leaves behind siblings; Shirley Pepin, Ann Underwood, Sue Fowler, Charles “Bud” Thompson (Joyce), and Joanie Thompson.

Rose was the ever present and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. She loved all animals, especially her Brandi Rose. A special thank you to her sister Joanie for her caregiving as well as the Hosparus team.

A funeral service for Rose will be held on Saturday February 4, 2023 at 3pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Westport Village 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222 with visitation prior from 12pm-3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Kentucky Humane Society, Animal Care Society, or the charity of your choice.
