Ruby Mae Philpott, age 97, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on December 6, 2021. She was born in Leitchfield, Kentucky, on April 15, 1924 to the late Jim Ruth and Janie Stevenson Ruth.
Ruby is preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 37 years, George Philpott; their son James “Doug” Philpott; her seven siblings; and two great-grandsons. Here to carry on her memory are her daughters, Carolyn Phelps (Charles), Sharon Craven (Bobby), and Darlene Wilhoyte; her grandchildren Dennis, Paul, Angie, Stacy, Stephanie, and Bryan; and five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 11:00am – 2:00pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A funeral service in Ruby’s honor will begin immediately at 2:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
