Ruth Evelyn Darbro, 95, was born on November 17, 1921 to the late John and Nora (Pennington) Simms, and passed from this life on August 4, 2017. Mrs. Darbro was a member of the 9th & O Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Orville Blanton Darbro. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Brent Darbro; a sister, Alice Elam; a grandson, Kent Darbro (Jennifer); and 3 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at the Masonic Home and Hosparus of Louisville for all the kindness and care given to Mrs. Darbro. A private chapel service will be held on Tuesday August 8, 2017 at Evergreen Mausoleum. The family is being cared for by the southern home of Arch L.
