Ryan K. "Pete" Terry, 73, of Louisville, passed away suddenly on July 13, 2012 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a native of South Carolina and a former employee of Shedd's Manufacturing. He was a Christian by faith, and he loved to travel, go fishing, bowl and play cards. His family and friends would describe him as kind, talkative, and a man who never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, Ryan B. and Rosa Worthy Terry he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy; sister, Barbara Jean, as well as long time companion, Bernice Beaudoin.
Survivors include his daughter, Lois (Chuck) Lush; son, Donnie (Julie) Skaggs; nephew, Larry Joe Terry; friend, Bernice and his three grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler and Kaitlyn, remember with love their beloved "Papaw Pete".
On Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at noon there will be a Celebration of Life service for Pete at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Lung Association.
