

Sandra Leigh Berrier, 66 of Lagrange, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2020. She was an absolutely incredible mother, a fun-loving supportive aunt, dedicated daughter, and affectionate sister. She always put others’ needs and wants ahead of her own. Her favorite past-time and hobby was spending time with her friends, family, and pets of which nothing was more important.
Sandra was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1954. She moved to Louisville as a child and graduated from Westport High School. She graduated Nursing School at JCC in 1991. She went back to school to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2007. She was a Registered Nurse (RN) for 28 years, retiring in July of 2020. While a nurse, She worked for University of Louisville Hospital, Tri-County Baptist Hospital, the Richwood, and for the last 24 years she cared for intensive care patients at Kindred Hospital. She was an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor, Kindred Hospital Nurse of the Year in 1999, and a member of the Kentucky Colonels.
Sandra is preceded in death by her mother, Catherine E. Berrier, her sister, Lana J. Carter, and a great-niece, Brianna Berrier.
She is survived by her son, Paul F. Berrier, her father, Paul L. Berrier, Sr. (Shirley Lambert), her brother, Paul L. Berrier, Jr. (Judy). Her nephews, Tim Carter, Matthew Berrier (Amanda) and Chris Berrier. Her nieces, Michelle Berrier and Lynn Travis. Great-nieces, Catherine Carter, Savannah Carter, and Annelise Berrier. Great-nephews, Jonathon Berrier and Michael Carter. Her pets, Zeus, Jack, and Midnight.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions limiting guests, the family held a small, private memorial service at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.
