Shannon was an avid U of L Basketball fan and NFL team the Bronco’s Football. He attended Atherton High School.
He is preceded in death by his father, Austin Helton; step-father, Ricky D. McHargue; grandparents, Charles and Annette Scott and Norma Jean Helton.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Teresa McHargue; sons, Tyler Helton (Elena), Trevor Helton (Haylee); grandchildren, Kai Xavier Brian-Helton, Ayra Jo Brian-Helton, Briar Cole Helton, Garnet Indigo Helton; brother, Ricky D. McHargue Jr., aunt, Gail Helton Armstrong; and a host of other family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 10am-2pm with a memorial service at 2pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to go to American Lung Association.
