Shirley Ann Thompson, 81, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 21, 2025. She was born on November 2, 1943, to the late Jo and Edna Thompson. Shirley was a long-time member of West End General Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed swimming in her pool, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter; Tina Gail Gibson, son; Mark Edward Gibson, grandchildren; Robin and Paul “Lil Paul”, and several brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are her children; Paul, Sammy, Lou, Rhonda, Tony, Donnie, and Frog, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dog; Brutus.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 11:00am-2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. A funeral service will directly follow visitation at 2:00pm. Shirley will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
