

Shurdan “Doc” Noe, lovingly known as "Ol' Grouch", age 88 passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025. He was born to the late Crawford and Mary Noe on June 13, 1937. Shurdan proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Chicken Eaters Car Club and the United Bluegrass Street Association. Shurdan enjoyed restoring old cars,going to car shows and flea markets, visiting family in Florida, and was an avid UK Basketball fan. Shurdan was a collector of many things and always tried to make others laugh.
Shurdan is preceded in death by his wife; Edna Vincent Noe, parents; Crawford and Mary Noe, sister; Vigula Washington Noe Dickey and Dallas Texas Sweeney, brother; Robert Ernest Noe, nieces; Vicki Noe Curry and Angie Noe Tarbis, and nephews; Billy Nowlin and Patrick Nowlin.
Left to cherish Shurdan's memory are his children; Carrol Lee Donohoo (Debbie) and Geneva Lynn Wihlon (Nick), grandchildren; Nicholas Donohoo (Cassandra), Joseph Donohoo, Zachary Ferguson, Andy Ferguson (Angie), Sarah Hutchinson (Taylor), and Hayley Trotter (Stephen), seven great grandchildren, nieces; Debbie Toole (Duane) and Liz Woodcox, nephews: Curtis Dickey (Wendy) and David Nowlin, and a host of extended family members and loving friends.
A visitation for Shurdan will be held Monday, June 30, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home from 4:00pm-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 10:00am at Evergreen Funeral Home. Shurdan will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
