

Billy loved to travel. He loved going to Florida and enjoyed the ocean. He was really into fishing as well. He was a proud worker in his life as a truck driver, as well as worked with heating and air-conditioning. He loved watching racing, was a big fan of the Daytona 500. Was a member of Blue Lick United Baptist Church. He was so loved by his family; his cousins were his best friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley William Hester Sr, and Shirley Ann Bynum, and his brother Terry.
Billy is survived by his wife Paula Hester, his children Eva (Richard) Cowley, Terry (Amanda) Hester, and Heather (Chris) Reynolds, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his sisters Jo Ann Blunk, Regina Schaffer, and Cheryl Hester. His aunts Janet Board, Myrtle Tomes, and Wanda Probus, his uncle James Bynum, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 402195390, on February 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will also take place at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services on February 27, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Following the funeral service, a committal service will be held at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery, located at 8405 Pennsylvania Run Rd, Louisville, KY 40228.
