Stanley Werner

Stanley Raymond Werner, 84, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was born July 21, 1941 to the late John and Barbara Werner. Stanley was a devout Catholic and even a founding member of St. Athanasius Church. He belonged to a variety of organizations, including: Knights of Columbus, a KY Colonel, Amvets Post 61, and the St. Patrick's Leprechauns. Stanley was an avid gardener, known for his tomatoes. He was also known for his Blue Ribbon winning wine.

In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded by his children: Timothy Werner and Kendra Werner; his siblings: Katherine "Sis" Bischoff, Paul Werner, Alma Nix, John Werner, Mary Seitz, Jo Ann Grubbs, Rita Riggs, Carl Werner, and Bernie Werner.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years: Judith Crume Werner.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, Louisville, KY 40219, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Tuesday, December 2 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218.
