Sue Frances Smith

Frances is survived by her son Mark Smith 61, her grandkids Alex 35, Jessica 29 and Mikaela 22 her brother Charlie Janes his spouse Mary her two sisters Betty Drummond and her spouse Jerry and Wanda Gabbard. Frances is predeceased by her parents, Morris and Sophie Janes, her son Bruce Smith her husband R.K. Smith her siblings Rhea, Amy, Kenneth, Clarence.

Frances was born on April 28, 1934 to Sophie and Morris Janes in Highland Park area of Louisville. Later her family moved to Vaughn Mill Road where she spent her life raising her two boys Bruce and Mark. She loved her boys and her grandchildren. On occasions she was know to be the last ones walking out of Chuck E Cheese devoting much of her time to her grandkids happiness. Frances worked retail department stores most of here career. She was an independent woman taking care of herself alone most of here life. She was close to her sons especially Bruce who spent a lot of his weekends helping Mom around the house.

Visitation is on Friday 2/2/2024 from 4-8pm at Arch L. Heady Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will be held Saturday 2/3/2024 at 11am in the chapel at the funeral home officiated by Reverend Frye.
