Susan and I were friends when she was my Visiting Teacher in Plano 1st Ward. Her son Kevin and my son  Jared were the same age, and I was Denise Chambers then.  Susan was having a wedding in her home for her oldest son, I  believe,  and she asked me to help her with some "crafty" finishing touches on an archway she was using.  She made me feel so good about myself and my talent,  no one else could what she needed but me, as far as she was concerned.  Love you Susan! I have missed you.   So sorry for your family's loss.  Until we meet again.

I didn’t know Susan too well, and was only able to visit with her a handful of times.  But when I did, she was polite, gracious, and very kind.  Susan was friendly to chat with; I enjoyed the time spent in her home, and I missed her when she moved to Louisville this year.  She liked spending Sundays watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys and didn’t even mind when others in the family cheered for the Green Bay Packers.  If that’s not grace, I don’t know what is!  Susan will be missed by many, near and far, and the joy she brought to others will remain a comfort to us.  Sending love and peace to all McConnells, Bybees, and everyone else Susan touched during her life.

Dear Bybee Family:
    Please accept our sympathy on your physical loss of your mother Susan on her departure to eternal life with God.  We hope it brings you some comfort in knowing, as Bill and Judy Guggenheim concluded in their book "Hello from Heaven" that life and love and one's spirit has eternal existence, and that Susan's spirit will always be with us.  I regret that I only knew her as the younger sister of my St. Xavier "53 classmate, Tom.  I am pleased to know she is in a better place.  Love Jim & Joann

I remember when Susan, Martin and the boys moved to Richardson.  Craig and Kevin were the same ages as my sons. I remember their being foster parents and had Amy with them and then were finally able to adopt her. Susan was a good friend and it was always so nice to get to visit with her.  After my husband passed away, she was so sweet to send me a card at the time of the first anniversary of his death. I always remembered her thinking of me AND she did other little things like that that were so caring and special to me.  I missed her when she moved out of our ward but she came back and visited a few times. Susan was a treasure and a special friend whom I loved very much.   I am so sorry that she had to suffer this awful disease but comforted in knowing that she is A-OK now.

I had the pleasure of knowing Susan when I was a teenager...hopelessly in love with Craig as we had dated for over two years..she and Martin took me in...I lived with them for three months during a very tumultuous time in my life. They treated me as one of their own during a time in my life when I needed them most.  I could never express the love and gratitude that I have for her and  Martin. I have loved them since I was 14 years old. They had a huge impact on my life. I am so thankful for the time I had with mom recently to express our love for each other. I love you, Kevin, dad, Craig and Amy  more than I could ever express. I strived to build my family and love them the way she did.  Her faith and love impacted my life tremendously. I will cherish our time together. I will carry your mom with me forever. ❤️ I love you all so much. To have known Susan Bybee ...you have been blessed. Her words to me recently will remain with me forever. 

Susan always had a smile and kind word for me.  She was good to me and my children.  I have a daughter Amy's age.  They were friends and went to each other's birthday parties.
Susan's family was always first place in her heart.  She would do anything for them. She had a wonderful home and she was an excellent mother.
She was beautiful, loving and kind.  I know she has gone to her loving Heavenly Father's arms and all is as it should be.💜.  The Richards Family
