LINDAUER, SYLVESTER JOHN, 98, of Louisville joined his heavenly father on Saturday, April 5, 2014. He was born April 10, 1915. He retired from the Louisville Gas & Electric Company in 1978 after 42 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Clara Gruber Lindauer, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is survived by his six children, Mel Lindauer (Tabby) of Daytona Beach Shores, FL, Pat Reinhart (P. L. "Skip"), Tony Lindauer (Anne), Ferd Lindauer (Betty), Angela Moore and Sylvia Duff-Kremer (Bert Kremer, Jr.); his sister-in-law, Jo Ann Ambs; 44 grandchildren and spouses; 51 great-grandchildren and spouses; and one great-great grandchild.
His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 11501 Maple Way, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Arch L. Heady and Son, 8519 Preston Highway. Rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
