He was born December 24, 1956 in Louisville, son of the late Arthur and Bessie Gahafer Tyler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Tyler and a sister Marie Soeder.
Terry was a Supervisor with Quantum Enterprises, Inc. He was a former member of Clifton Heights Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He was also a volunteer with United Crescent Hill Ministries. Terry was a great person, who touched many lives. He loved fishing, camping, reading, traveling and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Tyler; two children, Cynthia Tyler and Terry Wayne “Dub” Tyler, Jr.; four grandchildren, Timothy Tyler, Brandi Tyler, Jayden Porter and Jackson Liam Tyler; brothers and sisters, Trudy Tyler, Donald Tyler, Billy Tyler (Jean), Sherry Byes (Bob), and Debbie Travis; and also many nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Service to Celebrate Terry’s Life will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Chapel of Arch L. Heady–Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
