Theresa Johnston

She passed away peacefully at her home on January 13, 2025.

She was born on Dec 2, 1964 to Bill and Gayle ( Whelan) Heselschwerdt in Louisville, Ky.

Theresa met the love of her life ( Billy Joe) while working at Winn Dixie as a Deli Manager. Bill and Theresa were wed on October 3, 1992 . They had such a fun and loving marriage and soon a daughter joined them, Rebecca born on Dec 17, 1994. She loved her little family unit so much.

Theresa loved playing board games and card games! She was happiest when we got together and had a fun game of Tripoley, that could sometimes last for 2 or 3 days!! So many laughs and some we will not talk about, hahaha. Theresa was also an avid reader. She could finish a book in 1 day. It was amazing!

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Step Mother, Juanita Threlkel Heselschwerdt, whom she loved dearly. And her beloved Inlaws Jesse and Lavada Johnston.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years Billy Joe Johnston and her Daughter Rebecca Johnston. Her siblings William Heselschwerdt ( Lisa), Keith Heselschwerdt ( JoAnn) and Shelly Werner ( Tony).

Plus her beloved and very special Sister in Law, Janice Johnston.

Theresa is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Friday January 17. A short service will begin at 6:30 pm. She will be laid to rest privately at Resthaven
