Thomas D. Adams Jr., age 88, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was a Korean War Army veteran, a member and former elder of Kenwood Church of Christ; former Shively firefighter, and former owner of Adams Garage and Parts. He loved cars and racing, and was a former race car driver at Louisville Motor Speedway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Adams Sr. and Clara Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Jean Adams; son, Lonnie "Danny" Adams(Rhonda); grandchildren, Aaron Adams(Brooke), Chaney Adams, and Mackenzie Best(T.J.); and great-grandchildren, Aiden Adams and Madelyn Best.
Funeral service will be 2pm Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am-2pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in his memory can be made to Disabled American Veterans.
