Reverend Thomas Caudill, 77, of Gallatin, TN, formerly of Louisville, passed away peacefully when God called him home, on the evening of October 19, 2012. He was a native of Farmer's KY and a retired minister with Highview Baptist Church. He graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. He was very active in the church out-reach programs through visitation and missions. He was Director of nursing home, hospital and prison ministries at Highview, giving them all the word of God. He loved music and singing, as well as wood carving.
He was described as a very strong Christian example of how to lead your life. He was truly a faithful servant who lived the word of God. Thomas had a very dry wit and enjoyed telling stories and always had a zinger or two to add. He loved his family and times spent with them.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Ira and Iva DeHart Caudill and a brother, Paul Caudill.
Left cherishing his memory is his loving wife of 57 years, Eveleen Bolen Caudill; children, Connie (Jesse) Jepson, Tim (Alice) Caudill, Tammy (Dave) Holton, Mark (Chris) Caudill; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and sisters, Caroline Jukes and Genevieve Minton.
Thomas' Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday, October 25th from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m on Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Highview Baptist Church.
