Thomas "Mike" Hunter

Thomas Michael “Mike” Hunter, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022. He was born in Corydon, Indiana. Mike was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. He was a retired Credit Manager from PPG. He was a UofL fan and loved all the classic western movies. Mike served in the US Navy and was very proud to be an Honorary Kentucky Colonel and a member for many years.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Patricia "Trish" Hunter; father, Thomas A. Hunter and step-mother, Lucille Hunter; mother, June Heagie Spellman and step-father, Carl Spellman; and sister, Karen Reardon.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kristi Lauder (David), Kara Hunter, Nick Hunter (Shellie), Traci Abdalghani (Muhanad); step-children, Chris Stout, Tim Stout (Marjorie), Kevin Stout, Amy Weiter (Robert); grandchildren, Lily, Emmi, Harper, Hudson, Cameron, Zayn, twins on the way, Audrey, Gwyneth, Vince, Zachary, Autumn, Meadow; siblings, Richard Hunter, Diana Redden, David Hunter (Edie), Steven Hunter (Kim), Mary Geswein (Rick), Greg Hunter (Twana), Veronica Alstott (Wayne); and a host of many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home-Okolona, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219 with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
