Twana was born on April 6, 1949 in Louisville to James and Sarah Wilson.
She was a member New Covenant Church of God on Gilmore Lane, Order of Eastern Star, and Firemen and Oilers Local Union #320. Twana was retired from the Jefferson County Board of Education.
Twana loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Wilson.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Steve DeWeese; sons, James DeWeese (Christy) of Bardstown and Kenneth Jason DeWeese (Ryann) of Shepherdsville; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Sydnie, and Mason DeWeese; mother, Sarah Wilson of Louisville; brother, Bill Wilson of Louisville; and sister, Gwen Wix (David) of LaGrange.
There will be a Celebration of Life at noon on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel.
Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Tuesday and from 12pm-2pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
