He had retired from Philip Morris Tobacco Company. He was a preacher for the Munfordville Separate Baptist Church and a member of the Friendship Separate Baptist Church.
Mr. Perry was preceded in rest by his wife, Wanda, daughter, Laura, and siblings, Letha Chaffins and Brooks Perry, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Slater (Daniel); two granddaughters, Autumn and Savannah Slater; and siblings, Phyllis Vanatter, Charles Perry, Roy Perry, Ralph Perry, Greg Perry, Yvonne Courtney, Billie Carol Lansing, Tina Stasik and Sam Perry.
His funeral will be on Thursday at 12:30pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm.
