

Victory Amin Bisig, was born on Armistice Day, November 11, 1918, which is how she received her name. She passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Tillie Amin; sisters and brothers, Jaleelah Aboud, Fred Karem, George Karem, Mike Amin, Amiel Amin, Sr., Nellie Spray, Sadie Aulbach, and Jimmy Amin, her late husband Earl Raymond Bisig, Sr., and her infant son, Earl Raymond Bisig, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Earlene Bisig Zimlich (Michael), granddaughter, Patricia Zimlich Weaver (Lt. Col. Seth) of Forth Leavenworth, KS , great-grandchildren, Megan, Mackenzie and Matthew. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a member of the Lebanese American Country Club, active in Crescent Hill Community Council, served on the Old Fashioned 4th of July at the Peterson-Dumesnil House. She won several awards for patriotism, was the Honorary Mayor of South Galt Avenue. Baptized Eastern Orthodox, became Catholic and was a member of St. Frances of Rome Church. In the last few years she attended Crescent Hill United Methodist Church.
Victory was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her happiest moments were when she was with family and friends, sharing stories of her life and theirs. She was a wonderful Lebanese cook, who shared her meals and recipes with others graciously.
Many thanks to Louise Turpak, Jean Pellegrino and Michele Hundley who were angels to her, helping in so many ways. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Norton Brownsboro 4 East and 5 East for their outstanding care ands support, as well as, Hosparus.
A service to celebrate Victory's life will be held at 11 am Monday at Crescent Hill United Methodist Church 201 S. Peterson Ave. with burial at Cave Hill. Visitation will be 2-8 pm Sunday, Arch L. Heady-Cralle , 2428 Frankfort Ave.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Victory's name to Kosair Children's Hospital, 5th floor, 234 Gray St., Suite 450, 40202; St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church, Crescent Hill United Methodist Church, or Hosparus.
