It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Vincent Cardinali on May 18, 2025 at Glen Ridge Health Camp, Jeffersontown, KY. Vincent was the youngest of 9 children born, April 1945 in Tres Arroyos, Argentina to Italian immigrants, Americo and Maria Rosa Cardinali. He was preceded in death by his 5 brothers, and 3 sisters, Ricardo, Enrique, Herminio, Alberto, Sergio, Carlotta, Teresa, and Susana. Vincent leaves behind his loving wife Sandra Cardinali and daughter, Lisa Cardinali.
Vincent left his native country in 1968 to pursue his career in photography/photo refinishing in the US. During those fifty plus years here in the US he touched many lives. He helped bring his brothers to the US, and together they ran a successful photography lab. How he managed to settle in Louisville Ky is quite a remarkable story, one that he took great pride in remembering. He was always grateful to the family who answered the ad he posted in the photography magazine and brought him to the US.
His family and friends will remember Vincent for his witty sense of humor. He was always cracking a joke and loved to make people smile with his humor. He loved music, history, science and art. He often met with his best friends for coffee and a pastry, along with numerous discussions about history, science and the mysteries of the universe. Vincent loved classical music and could name most pieces written by the great classical artists. He enjoyed cooking. His signature dish was pasta with his delicious homemade sauce that included peas, which he put in almost everything. He was quirky and funny and always kind, a loving husband and father, and he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Vincent will be held Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
