Vincent was a lifelong Soldier, living a life defined by service, integrity, and unwavering commitment to those he loved and those he served alongside.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ruba; his sons, Salvator (married to Samira), Farouk (married to Lexi), and Gabriel. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Vincent enlisted in the United States Army in 1986 after graduating high school, serving as a Medical Specialist. In 1994, he commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Kentucky National Guard as an Armor Officer. He deployed to Baghdad, Iraq from 2006 to 2007 as a Military Intelligence Officer, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Action Badge. In 2017, Vincent transitioned to the Army Reserve as a Logistics Officer, and in 2020 he accepted orders to Active Duty, where he served honorably until his retirement in 2025.
Beyond his military service, Vincent was also an author, and had a passion for watching soccer, coaching his sons, and was a true connoisseur of Kentucky bourbon. He had a smile that lit up a room, a sharp sense of humor, and a presence that made others feel at ease.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
