He was a retired Telecommunications Engineer and an avid fan of NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert L. Porter and Patricia A. Monahan; and a brother, Michael L. Porter.
Vince is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carolyn Schueman Porter; sister-in-law, Barbara Newell (Steve); brother-in-law, Tom Schueman (Jenny); nieces and nephews, Bruce, Amanda, Logan, Mary and families; Aunt Donna and Uncle Ed; cousins, Grant, Bruce, Carolyn and Steve; and his beloved pets Lady “Bug” and Ginger.
The family wishes to extend love and gratitude to neighbors and friends Bob, Chris and Heather and to Dr. Rebecca McFarland for her exceptional care.
Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Vince’s funeral service will be held at 12:00 Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 pm Monday.
