She was the former Virginia Sallee, and through her life she had been an active member and or volunteer at Our Lady Help of Christians, Our Lady of Consolation, St. Paul's, St. Lawrence, St. Athanasius and Mount St. Francis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Skaggs Sr.
She will be cherished by her children, Charles W. Skaggs, Jr.; Sandy Albritton (Gary), Donna Skaggs, Judy Kingham (Roger), Michael L. Skaggs (Tammy), Kelly Hutson; loving cousin, Grace Simpson; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 1 p.m. at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, with interment in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:30 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-12 a.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven funeral home, 4400 Bardstown Road. There will be a prayer service on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m.
