91, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 23, 2025 in Louisville. We are grateful for the tender care and attention she received at Eastern Star Home and from Hosparus Health.
She was a native of Hopkinsville, Ky, born on February 27, 1933 to Johnny and Gracie (Rose) Groves.
Preceding Willadean in death are her parents, her husband, Charles Morgan, newborn daughter Sandra Morgan, and siblings Rebecca Groves, Cynthia Groves, Wade Groves, Helen Groves, and Wanda (Groves) Gray.
She and Charles Morgan married in 1951 and supported one another, nurturing their family with love, humor and patience. Laughter and joshing each other was the norm!
Survivors include: her daughters, Sharon (Fred Potter), Rebecca McMonigal (Timothy), and Tamara Estes (Richard); her grandchildren, Sara Hack, Madeline Hack, Garrett Estes; her great-granddaughter, Vivienne Veazey; her sister, Linda (Groves) Colley (Ronald); and many cousins, nephews, and nieces who are also greatly loved.
Primary in importance to Willadean was caring for her family—and she was the best “Meme” one could want! Kindhearted, social-minded, and industrious, she was a loyal friend with a ready smile, helping others whenever there was a need, always striving to be of assistance at schools, her local Baptist church, the Senior Center, and in her neighborhood. She had a keen interest in vegetable gardening, visiting gardens, traveling, art needlework, and preparing nutritious food.
Her funeral service will be 11am on Wednesday, January 29th at Evergreen Funeral Home / 4623 Preston Highway, with interment at noon in the cemetery there, beside her husband.
The family requests no flowers. Be that as it may, donations can be made to Camp Quality Kentuckiana or your favorite charity.
