William Magnus Bakkeby III, 44, of Louisville passed away November 29, 2012. He was born on October 19, 1968 to William Bakkeby Jr. and Elaine Yambor. He was a retired Captain in the United States Marine Corp and was a pilot. He attended Heart of Fire and Lifepoint Churches. He has several passions in life, flying, motorcycles and nature.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Pierson Bakkeby; children, Alexandra, Victoria and Gabrella Bakkeby, Alayna Tomes and Robbie Tomes III; a brother, David Bakkeby (Jamie) and two nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be conducted Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the funeral home.
