He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Doris Wright.
William was a member of the Kosair Shriners, Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police. He was a commanding officer and retired as Captain for the Jefferson County Police Force. He was also the president of Advanz Credit Union for more than 40 years.
Mr. Eskridge enjoyed crossword puzzles, spending time with his grandchildren and going to their sporting events.
He is survived by his daughter, Nikki Eskridge; granddaughter, Maryjane Lincoln; grandson, Jack Lincoln.
Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025 in the chapel at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 3 pm until 8 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, with a service from the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge at 7 pm. William will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in William's name can be made to the Marion C Moore Youth Service Center.
