William Albert "Bill" Klein

Bill graduated from the University of Louisville. He was a CPA and retired partner of Amick and Company, where he worked for over thirty years. He served on the Board of the Associated Builders and Contractors and on the board of the American Business Club (AMBUCS). He was a member of the Estate Planning Council and a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He was an active lifetime member of the Marine Corps League Kentuckiana Detachment # 729. He thoroughly enjoyed volunteering with the League and the Toys for Tots program. He was a member of the VFW Middletown Post.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Haeberlin Klein and Laura Virginia Schneidtmiller Klein; his step-mother, Eva Klein; one brother and three sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty nine years, Mary Klein, formerly Mary Lois Beckley; two sons, Albert H. Klein II (Laura) and Robert W. Klein (Angela Lewis-Klein); a daughter, Sharon Klein; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday December 6, 2011 in the Chapel at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 212 Mount Mercy Drive Pewee Valley, Kentucky 40056 with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Klein Chapel of Springdale Presbyterian Church,7812 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, KY 40241 on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 3pm to 8pm.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Marine Corps League Kentuckiana Detachment #729 or Toys for Tots, both at the address of 7807 Vaughn Mill Road Louisville, KY 40228.
