Ed was a member of Cooper Memorial United Methodist Church.
Ed had a 44-yr career in the grocery/retail business in the Louisville metropolitan area including time as manager at the Olde Town Grocery in Jeffersonville IN.
Ed’s lifelong passion was Scouting. Building bonds of fellowship, a network of friends and community in service, and living out the Scout Oath and Law every day. Ed served as the Scoutmaster for Troup 190 and volunteered for the Old Kentucky Home Boy Scout Council, currently the Lincoln Heritage Council on numerous committees.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, William P. Spellman and his mother Eleanor L. Spellman. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Spellman (Monica); his sister, Mary Spellman (Janet Cox); and his brother Mark Spellman (Anne); along with one niece, Farrah Grace Spellman Williams and Brandon.
Services for Ed will be held at time and date yet to be established.
