To my great nephew Storm, we honor your life this Memorial Day and everyday! Although your life here on earth was very short, you are thought of always! This Memorial Day, your two paternal great grandmothers are now up there with you. I know that was a joyful occasion when they both arrived and saw you! Storm, I truly can't believe how time has flown since you were born this day four years ago. There are times I have wondered what the world would be if you were here...yet I know that your true purpose was something greater. We all miss you dearly, but I can also say we are all at peace to a great degree with your destiny. I love you and will continue to get better in your name, and represent your strength, love, character, and courage until we meet again. Happy 4th birthday my beloved son!!!

Happy birthday my prince!!! I know all is well with you I am here on the verge of tears this morning and as I continue to write they have began to fall to the ground. I am so happy to call myself your father and I consider it to be my highest honor as a person. Your two years old today and so much has changed in those two years. Some for good, some for the bad. Yet I believe all things work according to God. This was his plan and I accept that fully. I'm happy that you have been granted a better existence than anything om this earth could ever offer you.  Well Storm you have been on my mind a lot these last couple of weeks,  even more so than normal. I can feel you watching over me, over all of us. I pray you continue to do that. If I could be even half as strong as you I know things will continue to go well. Each day I do this thing called life my goal is to honor your memory, to make you proud that I'm your father. Although you are gone from this physical life we will always connect spiritually. I love you so deeply and I miss you more than my mere words can possibly describe. Hey buddy today is your 1st birthday.  We love you, and miss you dearly.  It has been a tough year, but just like your mom and I promised you.  We have been strong and continued to  carry on in your name all the while keeping our faith.  There have been a lot of days in between 8:23 pm August 24 2012 and 8:23pm August 23 2012 that we had no idea how we would make it.  This journey had been both rewarding and painful.  Your mother and I know that right now you are in heaven and your doing good probably playing with your great granddad.  We are so happy that we can lay our heads down at night knowing that you are well now, and though we would give anything for you to be here for one more hug or kiss we accept that your destiny was greater than our feelings.  We love you an miss you...your grandparents, uncles, aunts, great grandparents, cousins, friends, and extended family.  You will always be out number 1.....

Hi Storm.
This is Grandma G. checking in with you to tell you that I love and miss you very much! I can't beleive you are five months old already. I look at your pictures and just imagine how big you are and how much you have changed. I just love your beautiful curly hair.  I am so thankful to have been able to hold you in my arms. I have to go for now. But, I will be back.

Storm.  Today you are 4 months old.  Happy birthday buddy.  I spent all day thinking about what you and I wouod be doing right now, while your mom is at work.  I came up with this small poem for you.  What if the world were fair.  What if you were here to share these precious few days we have in the grand scheme of life.  What if your mom and I could hold you right now, so tight that we would tell you how much we love you without words, just with our embrace.  What if I could kiss that angel face and lay you on my chest, so I could rest my weary soul.  What if your grandmothers could spoil you on your first Christmas, and get you everything on any kids wishlist.  What if your grandfathers could hold you while watching the Christmas day games, I'd be doing the same.  What if you could play with your cousin or see your aunts and uncles. Ultimately, what if right now I wasn't crying?  What if right now this pain, and sadness were not rolling down my cheeks in the form of tears....I guess the answer is.  That you would be here.

We all love you Stizzy.  We miss you, and know that you are watching down over us.  My little angel I will mourn you until I join you.

Hi Storm.  Last week was a big week for you!  It was your first Thanksgiving and you turned 3 months old.  It seems like it was just yesterday when I last held you and when you were in my belly kicking around like you were playing soccer! Even though your daddy and I were sad this Thanksgiving without you we still were thankful for many things. We are thankful if how strong you are and how hard you fought just to meet us.  We are thankful we got to hold you in our arms.  We are thankful we got to hug and kiss you. We are thankful that all our friends and family had the honor of meeting our super special guy.  We are thankful of the time we spent with you.  We are most thankful that we get to be your parents and call you our son.  We are so proud of you, our little angel Storm.  Your daddy and I miss and love you more than anything else in this world.  We will talk to you in a little bit.

Good Morning Storm.  This is Grandma G. Just sitting here at my desk admiring your picture. 
You are Grandma's perfect little angel. I miss you sooo much.  I wish I could hold you again...which one day I know that I will be able to.
You are always on my mind, there are so many what if's and why's.... and it is such heartache not having the answers.
Your Mommy told me you needed some new flowers, so I will be by later today to bring you some pretty white carnations that I picked out yesterday. You are so very lucky to have such a great Mommy and Daddy, they both adore you very much! Did I ever tell you how pretty your Mommy is?
Grandma loves you and misses you very much! We will chat later..see you soon!

We think of you constantly and though we are still heartbroken that we aren't able to hug, kiss, hold, and be with you we are so happy and proud to be your parents.  We miss you, and love you. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us in this time of immense grief.  We have received so many well wishes and prayers that my wife and I don't know how we could ever  repay everyone.  We are truly blessed to have such caring family and friends.  Please know that as heart broken as we may be that we have happiness in our soul that we spent the greatest 48 hours of our lives with our son Storm, and all of you who have supported us. Thank you, and god bless you all.  Also a very special thanks to Nortons and Kosair hospitals.
