Wylene Conway Sage

Wylene Sage was born Doris Wylene Conway on March 30, 1931, in Lawrence County, Missouri. Born the second child of four children to Dorothy and Truman Conway. Wylene arrived at her heavenly home on December 1, 2025, greeted by her beloved husband, John H. Sage, and a wealth of family and friends who have gone before her.

She was a longtime member of Okolona Baptist Church, attending faithfully. She was known for her love of family and friends, her hospitality, her natural ability to teach both in the church, home, and classroom. As an accomplished seamstress she used her talents to touch and change many lives.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, John Wayne Sage (Darlene), Pamela Sue “Suzie” Schmoyer, Jeffrey Alan Sage (Tina); four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Conway (Nan), Hubert Conway (Micki); and one sister, Dorcas Powers; several extended family members, dear friends, and her church families.

Visitation for Wylene will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home – Okolona Chapel, 8519 Preston Hwy 40219. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 11:00am at the Okolona Baptist Church, 9301 Preston Hwy 40229, with visitation at 10:30 at church before the service begins. Burial in Highland Memory Gardens will immediately follow the Celebration of Life Service.
