Dale Alfred Williamson was born on April 26, 1938 to Alpharetta and Frederick Williamson in Norton Kansas. They lived on the family farm with Dale's Grandmother. Dale and his sister, Ruth- who was 7 years older, loved life on the farm. He especially enjoyed making pets out of the farm animals.
With the country schools closing Dale's parents decided that his Mom and the kids would go to Boulder for the school year. This was a big sacrifice to ensure that Dale and Ruth had a Christian education. They attended Boulder Junior Academy while Dad stayed behind to farm. Dale graduated from Enterprise Academy in 1957.
On a snowy day in Boulder in 1959 while shoveling snow he met the love of his life, Joyce Glover. They married on August 14, 1960. To this union was born 2 sons. Mark was born on October 6, 1961 and Wesley was born on January 27, 1965.
Dale was baptized in the Boulder SDA church where he served in many different ministries. One of the main ways he served was in maintaining the facility in various ways for nearly 50 years. His love for the Lord was demonstrated in the way he lived his life.
Although Dale would have loved to have made a life on the farm he pursued a career in auto mechanics. He started his career at Morris's Garage in Boulder then worked at Hollister Dodge. From there he went to Rains Ford in Estes Park. He finished his career at the vehicle maintenance department at the YMCA in Estes Park in 2007.
Throughout his career and into retirement, Dale's advice about auto mechanics was highly sought after by many. He was always willing to help anyone who had a need. His vivid memories of his life were reflected in the many, colorful stories he loved to tell.
Dale and Joyce raised their boys on Apple Valley road in Lyons. CO. They made a life here for over 50 years until the flood of 2013. After this devastating event they moved to Loveland to live with their son Wesley and his wife Judith where he remained until his death on March 20, 2019. Dale is survived by his wife Joyce; his sons, Mark and his wife Julie, Wesley, and his Wife Judith; five step grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren; his sister Ruth Simpson; and her sons; Ron and his wife Dorothy and their two children and grandchild and her son Garry.
