

Edgar Evans Hamm, 75, of Loveland, Colorado passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa, Colorado. He was born on March 16, 1949 in Syracuse, New York to Ernest and Sarah (Evans) Hamm.
Edgar graduated from Baldwinsville Schools and attended UNLV for Hotel Management prior to joining the U.S. Army. He served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1977. On October 11, 1974, Edgar married Kathie Myers in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Edgar served as the Assistant Chief for the Teller County Volunteer Fire Department. He also worked as a Sheet Metal and HVAC Technician.
Edgar loved all cars, attending Bandimere Speedway to watch drag racing, the Hot Rod community and going to car shows with his 1940 Chevrolet Super Deluxe. He also enjoyed watching the Colorado Avalanche.
Edgar is survived by his daughters, Angela Megan Rock (Mark) of Loveland, Colorado and Devon Helgoth (Andrew) of Ft. Collins, Colorado and his grandchildren, Chelsea T. London of Buffalo, New York and Logan, Payton and Greyson Helgoth all of Ft. Collins. He is also survived by many loved family and friends from New York, Florida and Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathie Hamm of Loveland, sister, Christine "Chris" Meloling of Baldwinsville and his parents, Sarah and Ernest Hamm.
A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2024 followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. both at Allnutt Funeral Service-Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland. He will be laid to rest in Loveland Burial Park next to his wife, Kathie.
