

James “Jim” Franklin Robenstein, 90, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Banner McKee Medical Center in Loveland surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Durango, Colorado on March 21, 1933, he was the son of the late Clifford “Doc” and Helen Robenstein. After graduating from Loveland High School, he went on to join the Coast Guard where he made some of his closest friends that remained in his life for decades. After returning from the service, he enrolled at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado and graduated with a degree in Industrial Construction Management. After working as a building inspector for the City of Greeley, he eventually went on to spend many years in his own business constructing homes. He loved building, but his true passion was on the golf course with his close friends or in a boat on the lake fishing. All who knew him loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Robenstein, of 46 years; children Brad Robenstein of Monument, Colorado, and Keli Murray (husband Glen Schwab) of Windsor, Colorado; grandchildren, Courtney Devine (husband Travis), Braxton Murray, Brynn Robenstein and Sydney Robenstein; great-grandchildren, Laurel and Kara Devine; and his very special companion, Tipper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Bever.
A service for Jim will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Loveland, Colorado on Friday, June 9th, at 2:00pm, with a reception to follow.
