Laena was a great friend I remember bee shared custody of goldfish that we one at the carnival one year and she would send me pictures because my mom wouldn't let me bring them home. I wake up and try everyday for her, we needed on a rocky path but there's not a day that goes by that I don't wish I would have done things different and been there for her I believe she is in a better place now though happily taking care of our goldfish and smiling down on all the funny memss we look at. I send my love I'm sorry I never got the chance to say it in person.

Thinking about yous as you have the year anniversary of losing your remarkable girl, what amazing parents you were and she had such a great life in her short few years, thank for opening your hearts and home to her and showing her so much love🙏💕

Warren, Renee, and Collin, I did not know Laena but wanted to express my condolences for the loss of your beautiful daughter and Sister. I also wanted to thank her Birth Mom for loving her child enough to give her such a fantastic family.   I felt as if I did get to know Laena through your beautiful video. What experiences she had during her short time with you, and her Critters.  Laena was a true “ Animal Whisperer.” My heart hurts for you all😢 It’s a parents worse nightmare that our child will go before us. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.  Parts of the video I enjoyed, and related to:  was her  toothless smile,  her change in hair colors & her wind blown hair.  Her sleeping on Mommy,  & Dad running alongside of her while learning to ride her bike. There was also a beautiful picture of Laena with Mom and Collin. I could sense she was loved by many, and will be missed.  I believe she is with her Heavenly Father right now, and the wings of  his Angels are surrounding you all with love & comfort. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

Laena was an amazing friend and she was always so energetic. she taught me how to have fun and enjoy life and i will always be great full for that. when i realized i was trans her and her family were the first to except me no question. Laena loved horse's and rodents the most, she once caught a guarder snake and raised it with me and my sister. I wish we could've done more together but I'm happy with the memories i do have. rest in peace Laena.

I am so very sorry for your loss, Warren, Renee & Collin. I never met Laena, unfortunately. She sounds absolutely beautiful, unique & completely irreplaceable. May the Divine Good that exists in this Universe surround each of you with her loving protection & light, peace & solace.

Laena embodied Louise Belcher, from her favorite show "Bob's Burgers." Wise-cracking, sharp as a tack, outspoken, mischievous, passionate, sometimes chaotic, but totally loving. I wish I'd spent more time with her. I knew her only in small moments, but she made a tremendous impact.

I didn’t know you very well but it was fun to have someone to talk to in class.  I am sorry for your loss.

She loved nothing more than just being able to spend time with us, it didn’t matter what we would do she always seemed to enjoy herself. Because it wasn’t what we were doing that mattered, it was just having the opportunity to hangout. 
I’ll always miss the spontaneous trips to Dairy Queen or the park. 

When we first met Laena in 2020 she was like an old soul for a 14 year old.  She could talk your ear off about anything and it was interesting.  She watched our chickens a few times until they became independent.  My girls hung out with Laena some times, but our parenting schedules were always off.   You would usually see Laena getting the neighbors dogs or walking them.  Our houses back up to each other and we could always see tapestries or pretty light strands glowing from her window.  It's dark now - we wish it still beamed.🥺  She was a really neat kid.

Mrs. Miranda

Laena was a patient in an office where I work.  The last time she came to see us, she had drawn on both of her legs what I literally thought were giant leg tattoo pieces as they were so good!!! We talked about each piece of her artwork...was an amazing conversation into the depth of her thinking.  I was in awe as I am not creative in this way!  We also talked about rescue and fostering animals as that is a passion of mine as well!  I enjoyed every conversation and interaction I ever had with this beautiful, smart, funny, and talented young woman!
  I am deeply sorry for your loss Warren, Renee, and Collin! May you feel the comfort of the arms of your family and friends around you!

Laena was one of my first friends ever, I am a new student this year and I was very nervous about making friends, I remember walking into my acting techniques class and she welcomed me she asked if I wanted to sit with her so I did, and I knew as soon as she asked we would become pretty good friends, I sat outside alone the first few days of school and she saw me she came up to me and sat with me, she asked if I was okay and if she could sit, I said of course you can so everyday after our 4 period we would sit outside for lunch together, she was my lunch buddy. We talked and she showed me pictures of the animals she fosters and cares for. I loved seeing those pictures and videos. She was a really good person, she made me feel safe and she didn’t judge me. I told her stories that I have never told anyone. Sometimes if we wouldn’t sit outside bc it started to get cold we would go sit in the library and make crafts, build legos, or color. She made me a bookmark I don’t even read books lol but it has bubble shaped hearts with my name written at the bottom, she said “since you’re a senior this year and you’re going to be graduating here is something to remember me by” I would never forget her she was my first friend ever or actually she was my only friend. I love her so much, and miss her. 

Laena and I have been going to school together since elementary, we have the same exact birthday and would always tease each other about who was older and whatnot. She was always so sweet, we haven’t been close in recent years but I will always remember her. We had so much fun in class and considered her a good friends throughout childhood.

Laena was such a sweet part of our kids growing up! Her love for animals, creativeness, and color holds a special place in our hearts. Thank you Laena for being a part of our family of choice!

The best New Years I’ve ever  had, Laena could light up a room with just her personality. I’m gonna cherish this memory forever 

Laena was such a bright spot in my day when she would visit my office at school. We had some very sweet times together and she will be missed so greatly. 

We will miss you Laena.  We have so many fond memories with you  that we will forever cherish.
