Lee E Blooding

Lee Blooding, 94, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on December 29, 2020. He was born on October 31 , 1926 in Eads Colorado, the youngest of four children born to Robert Allen Blooding and Irene Ryder Blooding. He was preceded in death by each of his siblings, son Lonnie, and Granddaughter Courtney Blooding.

Lee graduated from Eads High School in 1944 and married Maxine Peck Blooding in 1946.

They farmed in the Eads area for 10 years where they were members of Young Farmers and Home Makers and 4-H leaders. Both Lee and Maxine were leaders of 4-H for over 25 years.

They relocated to Fort Collins in 1956 where Lee worked as a Quality Control Inspector for

Woodward Governor Company until his retirement in 1985. Lee was an active member of the

Masonic Lodge for over 70 years. In Fort Collins he belonged to Fidelity 192 and he and

Maxine were active in Eastern Star where Lee served as Worthy Grand Patron of the state of

Colorado during the 1988-89 term and he served as "Rainbow Dad" many years. He and Maxine were " Grandparents" for Bethel 28, Jobs Daughters. Lee and Maxine Blooding received the Jobs Daughters Columbine Award for their service and the Royalty Triangle Trophy of Jobs Daughters was named in honor of them in 2017. Lee was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Fort Collins.

Lee is survived by his wife Maxine, son Randie (Kathy Hansen), three granddaughters, Heather Clemonson (Michael), Brittney Smiley (Tom), and Riley Mehegan (Michael), their mother Sally Perez, daughter-in-law Karen Blooding, and 8 great-grand children.

A celebration of the life of Lee will be held in the spring. Contributions may be made to cancer research.
