Naomi Sharon Huggins Dixon was born August 17, 1938 in Oakland, CA and entered into rest February 6, 2021 in Loveland, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Lottie Huggins, and her sister Mary DiMaggio. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Harry Emerson Dixon; her sister, Esther Rummel; her brother, Hoyt Huggins; her children, Daniel & Regina Johnson, Kari & Hector Toro, Cindy & Tom Dilworth, and John “Corey” Clements; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, and countless friends and extended family who dearly loved her.
Naomi’s life was defined by her love for God and her love for family. Her faith was her source of joy, an encouragement to those around her, and an anchor and comfort in difficult days. Naomi loved gospel music and art. She was gifted to capture on canvas the awe and beauty of God’s creation in her florals, landscapes, and seascapes. Her talents shone through portraitures that enlivened care-worn cowpokes, embodied the faith of Abraham on the mountain, and reflected the delight of a dancing child.
Naomi will be remembered for her steady faith, her generous spirit, her colorful creativity, her silly, sassy sense of humor, and her spunk. Wife, Sister, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma- rest in peace.
We will always love you oodles!
