Richard Harold Koentopp

Rick’s extensive sales career began with Arthurs Mens Clothing Store in Ripon Wisconsin. For a time, Rick was a DJ “Rick Kent” at WCWC Radio Station in Wisconsin, as well as a member of a 3 piece band playing throughout Wisconsin.

After the move to Colorado in 1971, he began his Real Estate career with William Bray Real Estate, followed by Moore and Company. In 1978 Rick started The Group Inc. office in Loveland Colorado as the President and Managing Broker. Keeping with the Group in Ft. Collins and Loveland offices for 32 years. He joined RE/MAX Alliance Ft. Collins in 2010, along with his wife Linda and working diligently in the Real Estate Business for 53 years.

Rick and Linda were married August 6th, 1988, in Castle Pines Colorado. They enjoyed a life full of adventure. Boating in Lake Powell and their second home in Naples Florida. He had a great love for Indy Car Racing, multiple Corvette Clubs and trips. He loved to snow ski and snowmobile in the great Rocky Mountains. Rick and Linda traveled together to Italy (a favorite), France, Mexico and Canada. Rick’s love for Real Estate was a main focus in his life, with no plans to retire. He made many great friends along the way. He didn’t know a stranger.

Rick is survived by his wife Linda, son Mark ( Alana ) Koentopp, daughters Cari Johnson and Cami (Lance ) Brittan. Grandchildren Colton ( Ashlee ) Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Madison Brittan, Morgan Brittan, Michael ( Ashley ) Green and Carolann ( Sam ) Clement. Great Grandchildren Cooper Johnson, Grayson and Vivian Green. As well as two step sisters and one step brother in Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Leona Koentopp, step mother Dorothy Koentopp, his daughter Cheryl Green, as well as Mark and Cheryl’s mother Carol Koentopp.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday August 5th at 2:30pm Redeemer Lutheran Church 7755 Greenstone Trail Ft. Collins Colorado.

Followed by a celebration of Rick's life from 4:00-6:00pm Open House at CB and Potts, Collindale Golf Course 1441 E. Horsetooth Rd. Ft. Collins Colorado. If you are unable to attend the service in person, we invite you to watch it by visiting live.redeemerconnect.com
