

Bob was born August 10,1957 to Edward and Virginia(Geeslin) Chappell in Wichita, KS. Bob served four years for his country in the US Navy. He was assigned to the USS Gompers. He often spoke about his military experience and how he enjoyed his time at sea. Bob was very proud to be an American and to have served his country.
He was an incredibly skilled tradesman. Bob was an electrician by trade. There were not very many things he wasn't proficient in. Bob was the proud owner of "Ed's Sharp Shop" in Loveland, Colorado for many years. Bob was a craftsman and took pride in everything he did. There was no doubt if Bob did it that it was done right. If you ever needed to know something all you had to do was get ahold of Bob. He was also an incredible cook. Bob would cook for very large groups of people during events and gatherings.
Bob was a Freemason and a member of Longs Peak Masonic Lodge #197. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Loveland. He spent countless hours volunteering through different events serving his peers and his community. Bob was a very loved father, family member, neighbor, and friend.
Bob enjoyed fishing, woodworking, being outside, and being a part of his community.
In his recent years, Bob thoroughly enjoyed taking on the role of the local Santa Claus and bringing joy to the families and kids in his community. His neighbors cared for him dearly. Bob had a green thumb and took great pride in his flowers, garden, and lawn. He could always be found outside tending to his yard with an ice-cold coke within reach. There was no doubt he was out causing trouble when you'd hear the riding lawn mower start up.
He always had the biggest, most welcoming and contagious smile. It did not matter how much he was going through he would always see the positive in every situation. You could spend hours listening to his stories and wisdom that he would share. Bob lived his life to the absolute fullest.
Bob is survived by his two sons, Everett James Chappell (Alicia) and Robert Glenn Chappell Jr and step father to Sarah Lynn Hixson. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Joy, whom he loved dearly. Bob has two sisters, Karen and Rachel. He was the most loving and caring father, stepfather, and grandfather. Bob was also a father figure in countless people's lives. He passed on his positive attitude, work ethic, and craftsmanship to his children. There are no words to describe how dearly he will be missed.
