Robert “Bob” Moen passed away December 18th, 2022 at his home in Livermore, Colorado. Bob was born January 15, 1954 in Stockton, California to Irma Isabelle (Wetherell) and Palmer Coleman Moen. In the summer of 1957 he relocated with the family to Brooten, Minnesota for a decade before returning to California and attending Lincoln High School in Stockton where his leadership skills were proven as an officer in the Sharpshooters Club, competing in trapshooting tournaments and providing halftime entertainment during Homecoming.
In August of 1973, he married the love of his life Beverly “Bev” Jenniges and started a family with the birth of their daughter Kathy in 1975. They welcomed a son, Jason, in 1977. Seeking adventure and new horizons, they set out for Colorado and settled outside of Denver, welcoming a second son, Michael in 1980 and their youngest - a daughter, Leslie, in January of 1986. His family meant more to him than anything else in the entire world and he would go out of his way to do anything he could to help out. A true force of nature, Bob lived determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He was unendingly proud of his children, and he could always be counted on to show up and support them in whatever they were doing.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman and could often be found hunting, early morning walleye fishing, or photographing the wildlife around his home. He always made sure everyone had a baited rod before he would cast a line and would spend all day tying on lures for the grandkids as they fished from his boat. Family outings were what he looked forward to most and he never missed a chance for a family camping trip or hosting a barbecue for everyone.
Throughout life Bob pursued many endeavors, from screen printing to custom knife making; a true entrepreneur at heart. He lived on his own terms and was infinitely proud of that. He led by example, teaching his children and grandchildren to work hard and have pride in their work, no matter what it was.
Bob is survived by his children Kathy (Chad Swenson) Giddings, Jason (Sarah) Moen, Michael (Jairun) Moen, and Leslie (Benjamin) Bell; grandchildren Austin and Bailey Giddings, McKaylynn, Bradynn, and Holdynn Moen; siblings Barbara Wright, Patricia Sly, and Christine McKinley. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Bev, parents Palmer and Irma Moen, and siblings Jane Hickey, Harriet Carlson, Carol Perry, Irvin Moen, and Elaine Moore.
Memorial services will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, 2718 E Mulberry St, Fort Collins, CO 80524, March 25th, 2023 at 11:00 AM. With some memory sharing afterwards at the Sundance Steakhouse & Saloon, 2716 E Mulberry St, Fort Collins, CO 80524.
