

He was born on April 21, 1998 in Kazakhstan. Zachary spent the first 14 months of his life in an orphanage, before being adopted by Peter and Debbie Weatherhead. He was raised in Limestone, Maine until his family moved to Johnstown, Colorado in 2012.
He is survived by his loving parents Peter and Debbie Weatherhead, his sister Traci Labreck and her husband Jamie; his sister Amanda Dobson and her husband Justin; and his sister Julia Weatherhead. He also leaves behind 1 niece, Kenzie Labreck, and 2 nephews Billy and Sam Dobson. Zach has many special aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
Zachary loved playing basketball! You could find him at any basketball court, whether it be in the laundry room, or at the courts on family vacation. He always had a basketball in his hands. He enjoyed spending time at his family’s camp on Madawaska Lake and was always the first one in the water when the ice went out in the Spring. He enjoyed fishing, tubing and looking for bugs. He was knowns as the “bug man” at his family’s golf course because he was always in the ponds looking for bugs and frogs while golfers were going by. Zach loved being outside, skateboarding and riding his bike. He loved animals and kids. He was quiet, gentle, kind and funny. His niece and nephews loving referred to him as “Uncle Knucklehead”.
While the past few years he seemed to lose his way; his family believes he has found his way home and is now resting in peace with God in heaven. Zachary’s passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts and lives. The Weatherhead family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this unimaginable time. They take comfort in knowing that Zach is finally at peace, and they will see him again one day.
