Georgia was born March 8, 1929 in Fresno, California to parents Molly and John Walters. She met her husband Roy Long in Fresno and married him on May 10, 1948 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his passing in 2005.
Roy and Georgia moved to Lake County from the Bay Area in 1978 after Roy retired. They enjoyed running a café, traveling, fishing, but most of all they enjoyed and loved their family. They raised four children together and helped raised many grand- and great-grandchildren as well.
Georgia was an amazing woman with a warm personality and endless love in her heart for her friends and family. She had the ability to light up a room with her laugh and her smile. She will be desperately missed by many people.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Roy, her son John, and her Daughter Laura.
She is survived by her sons Roy Ronnie Long and Leonard Eugene Long; her grandchildren Lacie Hill, Jennifer Barr, Tammy Maninger, Tina Long, Trina West, Leonard Long Jr., John Long Jr., and Dennis West, and her many great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at the Lower Lake Cemetery, Friday, June 24th at 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life afterwards at Georgia's home in Lower Lake. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
We would like to give a special Thanks to the Humboldt County Hospice and Joycelyn Kay for taking such good care of Georgia during the last few months of her life.
Blessed Be.
