On August 29, 2011, our beloved uncle Mike Stark was called home to our Lord after a long illness. He was a wonderful loving man who loved his family and friends. Although, he only had use of one hand, he fished and loved Clearlake since 1975. He married the love of his life, Dolores and raised their four children: Terry, Jerry, Sherry and Garry. He was like a father to his nephew, Dominick and raised him to know the real deal. He was dealt a bad hand but always took the good with the bad, but always family first. For the last four years, he lived at Meadowood Nursing Facility. He was loved by the staff and taken very good care of. Thanks to all who made his last years happy. He was preceded in death by his mother; Dora Lee, father; Albert Stark, brother; Joe, niece; Sally Waddell and son; Garry Smith. If you knew “Uncle Mike”, you had to love him. He always told me, “it’s not the cards your dealt, it’s how you play them.” Although he was dealt bad cards, he made them work.
His spiritual guider was our grandma, Clara Palmer, “Granny”. She taught all of us the respect of our lord Jesus Christ. Today, we know Uncle Mike is walking hand in hand with granny and all of our family called home. To Uncle Mike and all our family, we loved you, we will miss you and we will see you all when we get there. In loving memory, your family and friends, we will miss you.
A memorial service will be scheduled in the near future.
Arrangements under the direction of Jones & Lewis Funeral Home, Lower Lake, CA.
