

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-Eugene & Bernard, sister-Winnie Boothe, wife-Claire & son Peter Coward.
He graduated from Muleshoe High in 1939, served in the Pacific in the US Navy during WWII on the USS ST. Paul.
Married Claire in Wollaston, MA in 1947 and worked for American Bell telephone Co. over 30 yrs retiring in 1982.
Al belonged to the Knights of Columbus #3008 at Christ the King and was a past Grand Knight.
Survived by his son, David Coward and wife, Carla of Gold Canyon, AZ; daughter, Christine Cooke of El Paso, TX. Grandsons,William Cooke of Midland, TX and James Cooke and wife, Karrie of White Sands, NM Great granddaughters Gillian and Emma Cooke of Las Cruces, NM. There are numerous nieces & nephews who were the light of his life. He was so loved by all.
Talented artist and loved traveling, gardening, & playing dominoes.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funerla Home on Tues., Mar. 15 from 5-7pm , rosary will be said at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Cathedral at 10 am on Wed Mar. 16 with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
In Lieu of flowers, family asks that you contribute in his name to the Alzheimers Assoc., American Diabetes Assoc. or Catholic Services.
