She and her parents moved to Lubbock where they started the Betty Bolin Candy business. It is here that she met her future husband James Robert Crisp Jr., deceased. They were married 46 years and had one son, John Harvey Crisp, deceased. She had one stepson, James Robert Crisp III M.D., deceased, and one stepdaughter, Carolyn Webber Wittwer.
Betty is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Shirley Crisp, five grandchildren, Lauren Crisp, Harper Crisp, Cathy Weems, James Crisp IV, Kimberly Taylor, and Robbie Webber, deceased. Betty was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Jaxson Bird, Heather Gallagher, Hannah Bailey, Grant Taylor, Garrett Taylor and two great great-grand-granddaughters, Ellie Gallagher, and Ashlyn Gallagher.
Betty was a member of Broadway Church of Christ and had a love of gardening and history; she was an avid reader until she lost her vision.
Her family would like to extend appreciation to all the wonderful caregivers who aided Betty in her final years of life: Sherick Memorial Home, The Wilshire on 4th, Billie Law, Betty Mullican, Jean Pepper, Calvert Home Care and Dr. Brad Snodgrass along with his entire staff for the love and care they provided for so many years.
The family suggest memorials to the Children’s Home of Lubbock or the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be offered at: www.resthavenfuneralhome.com
