Barbara was born June 13th, 1938 to Jess and Nova Hazel (Kyle) Boswell in Oklahoma. She was a resident of Lubbock and dedicated herself to caregiving occupations throughout her life.
An avid gardener, Barbara was often found outdoors among her plants and known for her unusual choice of planters ranging from old wagon wheels to commodes. She collected a wide range of antiques and enjoyed displaying them in her home. While she loved all animals, she was particularly fond of chihuahuas. Mornings were her favorite time of day and she enjoyed sipping coffee while listening to the radio.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and her son, W.A. Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda, Jackie, and Kerri, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 with a visitation beginning at 12pm, Funeral Service at 1pm, and interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations are appreciated to Meals on Wheels of Lubbock.
