A Celebration of Life Service for Bob J. Danner, 77, of Lubbock, will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, beginning one hour prior to services. Mr. Danner passed away on November 30th. Bob was born on February 22, 1932 in Marshall, Illinois to Charles A. and Ruby T. Beatty Danner. He was a veteran serving in both the US Army and Naval Reserves. He married Linda Lee Wax on April 5, 1952, in Springfield, Illinois. He was self employed in the sales industry. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and served as Course Marshall at Stonegate Golf Course for the past several years. He was preceded in death by his wife; Linda Lee Danner in 2000; and a son, David Raymond Danner in 1996. Survivors include two sons, Doug, and wife Judy, Derek and wife Pam, all of Lubbock; a brother, Bill Danner of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorials are suggested to Westminster Presbyterian Church or the donor’s favorite charity.
