Bobby Don Henson

Bobby Don “Bubba” Henson, 57, of Amarillo and formerly of Smyer, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home. He was born January 16, 1960 in Lubbock to Bobby Ray and Faye Marie (Pinkston) Henson.

Bobby graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1978. Following graduation he enlisted and served his country as a Marine. He married his wife, Sherry, on August 22, 1987.

Bobby worked for Greyhound Bus Lines for 23 years. He was a simple man who loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Bobby is survived by his wife, Sherry Henson, his children; April, Tara, (Murphdawg), Mackenzie (Michael), and Wyoming, grandchildren; Breann, Triston, Brooklynn, Kristopher, and Hayleigh, his sister, Laura Ford (Brent) and their children, Braxton and Baylie,

a brother, Danny Ray (Melissa), his father; Bobby Ray and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration to honor Bobby’s life will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 6 PM at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. A private inurnment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
