

He was born in Pampa, Texas on July 31, 1935 to Edwin Claude and Stella Lorene Moore. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1954 and attended Frank Phillips Junior College. He married Marjorie Ann Roundtree on November 24, 1955 in Pampa, Texas.
Buddy was the Credit Manager at Methodist Hospital (now Covenant) from 1968 to 2001. He made many great friends there, several who shared his passion and love for hunting. He raised and trained German short-hair pointers and had 6 Shoot to Retrieve National Champion dogs. In his younger years, he was a Golden Gloves boxer and avid golfer. In the mid 70’s, he coached Babe Ruth baseball and in 1976, his team went to the World Series in Kinston, North Carolina. Surpassing all of these passions was his passion for his family and spending time with his wife of 58 years and his children and grandchildren. He was a charter member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and a member of the Monterey Church of Christ where he looked forward to visiting with special friends each week.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Stella Moore and a sister, Ginger Carter. Buddy is survived by his wife, Marjorie Moore; his son, Mark Moore; his daughter, Debbie Couch and husband Brent; his son, Greg Moore and wife Suzette, all of Lubbock; his granddaughters, Brittany Couch of Lubbock and Haley Couch of Denver, Colorado; Jill Gibson and husband Seth of Abilene; his grandsons, Craig and Kyle Moore of Carrolton, Texas; his sister, Nancy Brown of Amarillo; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Jim Knowlton of Oakland, Tennessee and numerous other extended family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park on Monday, May 5th at 10:00 a.m. Officiated by Dr. Barry Stephens and Andy Turner. Honorary pallbearers are: David Bownds, Logan Bownds, John Cantrell, Wayne Denyou, Dr. Denton Dewitt, Dr. John Jones, Randy Jordan and Dr. D.I. Wilkinson.
